Tasks and Duties

Motorcycle engineers may do some or all of the following:

start the motor to hear what area the fault is in
test the different parts in the problem area to find out what needs to be repaired or replaced
discuss any problems and costs with their customers
repair or replace any faulty parts
adjust bikes to improve their performance
service motorcycles
carry out Warrant of Fitness checks and insurance repairs
assemble, check and test-ride new motorcycles
fit new bikes with accessories
order spare parts
