Obtaining a work permit

A work permit allows you to live and work in NZ for a certain amount of time. After you have gained a work permit you may then be able to apply for permanent residency.

We specialise in helping candidates who wish to work in an occupation that is on NZ Immigrations Priority Occupational Shortages List to get a job offer to secure a work permit.

To be eligible for a NZ work permit you must

  1. Be of good health and character
  2. Have a job offer which is genuine, for full time employment and be for at least a 2 year term
  3. Be suitably qualified to do the job

* You will not be eligible for publicly funded health and disability services unless your work permit is 2 years or over, so medical insurance is advisable.

1. Be of good health and character

You must be able to prove you are in good health by producing a medical certificate and maybe an x-ray certificate. The police in your country of origin must certify your character.

2. Have a job offer which is genuine, for full time employment and be for at least a 2 year term

We will set-up interviews for you upon your arrival in NZ. We will liaise with the client company and when you are successful you will receive a job offer either direct from the client company or via our office.

3. Be suitably qualified to do the job

You must provide original documentation of your qualifications, any training courses that you have attended and written references from your past employers.
