Peter Akeroyd has a highly distinguished career in the NZ motor industry spanning 45 years. Initially qualifying as an advanced trade qualified automotive technician Peter progressed his career to the level of owner and dealer principal of a multi franchise BMW, Audi, Citroen and Mazda dealership, a position he held for 12 years.
As one of NZ's most experienced motor industry professionals Peters experience included 10 years involvement with the Motor Vehicle Dealers Institute (MVDI), culminating in National President in 1987/1988.
There are few individuals in the motor industry as qualified as Peter to provide consulting services to the motor industry. Past experience in five sectors of the industry, Automotive, Heavy Transport, Motor Cycles Marine and the Petroleum industry is testimony to this end.
- To completely round off an impressive background Peter has also held the following roles during the course of his profession;
- Owner of a Kawasaki motor cycle franchise dealership
- Owner of a major Shell service station
- Owner of a used automotive and commercial vehicle dealership
- A senior sales professional with both Mercedes Benz and Audi dealerships
- A motor industry tutor training automotive engineers to the level of advanced trade certificate.
- Marine design and build engineer
- New Vehicle fleet consultant
